ANTHEM OF THE SEAS
PHOTO TOUR AND COMMENTARY DINING
|
Even with all of the various dining options offered on Anthem, the Windjammer Marketplace remains a very popular option. This buffet restaurant occupies a large space aft on Deck 11. As you enter, there are a
number of islands presenting different types of food. Further in, the islands give way to counters. |
Seating is between the food serving area and the floor-to-ceiling windows and in an outdoor section overlooking the stern.
|
As the name indicates, the Solarium Bistro is located in the Solarium. For breakfast and lunch, this venue is a buffet restaurant offering the same food as the Windjammer. In the evenings, it has both a buffet and waiter service. The dinner cuisine is loosely Mediterranean in style. The Solarium Bistro occupies the space where the Devinly Decadence specialty restaurant was located.
Johnny Rockets is in a sheltered section of the Outdoor Pool area near the H2O Zone. Whereas the prior versions of this venue were famous for their dancing waiters and waitresses, at this Johnny Rockets guests go to the counter to place an order. A pager signals you when your order is ready. Essentially, it is no longer a combination entertainment and dining option. Now it is just a dining venue. There is a cover charge.

Neighbors on the Royal Esplanade on Deck 4 are: Sorrento's
(left) featuring New York style pizza; the Café Promenade (lower left) features specialty coffee, snacks and pastries; and La Patisserie, a French-inspired coffeehouse and pastry shop (below). (There are additional charges at La Patisserie). |
The Seaplex Dog House is decorated so as to look like a food truck that has crashed through the exterior wall of the Seaplex. It offers a variety of hot dogs.
