Nearby is the Alchemy Bar. Styled to look like
an old-time pharmacy, guests can create their own cocktail or simply tell the white-jacketed bartenders how they are feeling and leave it up to the bartenders to create the appropriate tonic. Of course, you can also get standard cocktails and drinks there as well. |
With more and more people using digital books, the
number of guests using the libraries on cruise ships has declined. Carnival's solution to this problem was to make the library multi-purpose. In addition to having a collection of books and computers, guests using the Library Bar can pour a glass of wine from the dispensers or get a drink from the small bar. |
The piano bar is always a popular venue on Carnival ships and so one was included when the ship was transformed into Carnival Sunshine. The decor, location and size of the Piano 88 Bar is, however, different than the piano bar on Carnival Destiny.

The EA Sports Bar was developed in partnership
with EA Sports. It features large video screens on which to watch sports events and a digital news feed displaying the scores from various other events. Guests can also play video games developed by EA Sports. |
The Havana Bar was designed to evoke the spirit of pre-Castro Cuba. In the evenings, it has live music with a Latin theme. Because of its proximity to the ship's buffet, the tables are often used by guests having breakfast or lunch.
Looking across at each other in the Beach Pool area is the Caribbean-style Red Frog Rum Bar (right) and the Mexican-inspired Blue Iguana Tequila Bar. Unlike traditional pool bars which are often just there as a convenience for guests using the pool area, these two bars are important features of the Beach Pool area helping to give it a Caribbean resort atmosphere.
