Queen Mary 2 has three broad categories of staterooms relating to which dining room the stateroom is associated with.. Within each of these broad categories are sub-categories based upon such things as size and location.

Queens Grill suites are the top-of-the-line accommodations. Guests in these suites dine in the Queens Grill and have access to the Queens Grill Lounge, the Concierge Lounge and the Grills private outdoor terrace. Guests also have the services of a butler and a concierge.

Guests in the Princess Grill Suites dine in the Princess Grill. They too have access to the Grills Lounge and the Grills Terrace. In addition, they have access to a concierge.

There are two types of Britannia balcony cabins. The ones on the upper decks (i.e. above Deck 7) have glass front balconies similar to those seen on most cruise ships (above). On Decks 4 and 5 the balconies are recessed into the hull of the ship and so the sides and front are steel (right).

Oceanview cabins have a window or porthole instead of a balcony. During, the 2016 refit, several single occupancy oceanview cabisn were added (above right).
QM2 has two types of inside cabins. The Atrium cabins have a window overlooking the Grand Lobby (above). The other inside cabins have no window.
