SUMMARY

Evrima is a small ship (yacht) offering a sophisticated, luxury cruise experience. She has the sleek lines and appearance of a private mega-yacht rather than a traditional cruise ship.


She was the first ship to enter service of the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection. In keeping with the Ritz Carlton image, these ships seek to offer modern elegeance in a refined but contemporary environment. This is reflected in the designer décor, amenities with high-end names, top quality dining and personalized service. For example, the passenger to crew ratio is essentially 1.2 to 1.


All of the staterooms on Evrima are designated as “suites”. There are no inside or oceanview staterooms. There are different categories of suites, however, ranging from the giant Owner's Suite to cabins that are similar in layout to balcony cabins on other cruise ships. Included in the fare are such things as gratuities, most drinks and beverages, and wifi.


Guests have a variety of dining choices. The main dining room is divided so as to resemble a series of smaller venues rather than a cavernous hall as on larger cruise ships. There is also an Asian restaurant, a poolside venue and a combination steakhouse and seafood venue. All of these, as well as in-cabin dining, are included in the fare. The S.E.A. restaurant, which offers a multi-course tasting menu with pairings, is extra-tariff.


There is no casino or theater. In keeping with the goal of providing a home-like experience, there is a large indoor space called the Living Room, with a bar, snacks such as freshly-baked pastries, a library and space to relax. There is also an observation lounge for socializing and evening entertainment.


Evrima's wellness facilities include a spa, beauty parlor and a gym. Guests can choose between indoor or outdoor spa treatments.


Outdoors, Evrima has infinity pools, hot tubs and a Jacuzzi. However, the most impressive feature is the marina. When in port or anchored in calm waters, a section of the stern can be lowered down to make a platform. Guests can indulge in water sports such as kayaking and paddle-boarding. The marina can also be used for parties.


The name “Evrima” has Greek roots but is a popular name in Turkey. It means explorer or discoverer. The cruise line says “Evrima's intimate scale is perfectly suited for exploring rarified destinations . . . .” Accoringly, the ship sails to potrs large and small in the Caribbean, the Mediteranean, Northern Europe and the South Pacific.


Guests tend to be couples from Europe and North America in their 50s.
